The TransFormation Alliance, a partnership of more than 30 government agencies, businesses and nonprofits, including the Strong, Prosperous, And Resilient Communities Challenge (SPARCC), announced today a series of innovative grants to help infrastructure in Atlanta heal where it once divided.
9th Annual Great American Cookout
After 8 successful years, we are extremely excited to return to the Outdoor Activity Center (OAC), a part of the Atlanta Children’s Forest Network, for another campout. The OAC is a 26-acre urban nature preserve located just a few miles from downtown in the Richland Hills community of Southwest Atlanta.
Come out and enjoy food, fun, fellowship, and a night of family camping under the stars. This event is especially geared for first-time campers. You will learn how to set up tents, roast marshmallows, make s?mores, take a night hike and nocturnal insect experience, and witness top-notch entertainment including African storytelling and a vibrant drum circle.

TransFormation Alliance Youth Academy
The?TransFormation?Alliance Youth Academy offers young people (ages 13-17) from NPU-V communities a week of interactive and experiential learning both inside and outside of the classroom.??
By participating in the Academy you will:
- Become a better leader and ambassador for your community,
- Earn a daily stipend of $25,
- Establish trusted relationships with a peer group of local community youth leaders and equity advocates,
- Understand the intersecting ways that race, transit, climate, and health affect development patterns and our daily lives,
- Gain leadership skills to engage, organize, and mobilize residents, and
- Learn story-telling skills and publish a piece about your community.
The Youth Academy will take place on August 5th-9th, 10am-4pm.?In addition to the daily stipend, free lunch is included each day. Spaces are limited!

Care and Conserve Plumbing Repair Program
This program is funded in part by a grant from the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management. The Care and Conserve Plumbing Repair Program (CCPRP) provides assistance to residents living in the Department of Watershed Management City of Atlanta service area for plumbing and sewer repairs. Eligible participants will not be charged for repairs.
The program will provide up to $1,500.00 for households with non-sewer line repair/replacement
work and up to $2,500.00 for households with sewer line repair/replacement.
